Nag Panchami 2023: The festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan. This time Nag Panchami is on 21 August 2023. Nag Devta is worshiped on the occasion of Nag Panchami. Worshiping on this day gets rid of many kinds of problems. Snakes have been worshiped as deities since mythological times. Do not do this work on Nag Panchami
Nag Devta is worshiped on the day of Nag Panchami. In such a situation, do not hurt the snakes on this day. Worship him on this day and take a pledge to protect him.
Do not feed milk to a live snake on the day of Nag Panchami, as milk can be like poison to a snake. Along with this, even by mistake on this day, worshiping a living snake and causing pain to it is a sin. On this day worship the idol or photo of Nag Devta and anoint his idol with milk.
It is said in religious scriptures that on the day of Nag Panchami, food should not be cooked in tawa and iron pan. By doing this, the snake god gets hurt. Also, on this day the use of any sharp and sharp objects like needles, knives, is considered inauspicious.
One should not even dig the land on the day of Nag Panchami. It is believed that by doing this, there is a fear of snakes' burrows or Bambi breaking in the soil or ground.
On the day of Nag Panchami, milk should not be offered to Shivling or Nag Dev from a copper vessel. Always use copper for offering water and brass pot for milk.
