Virat Kohli: Kohli made a great record in the 300th ODI match, no other warrior in the world could do this

As soon as Virat Kohli stepped on the field in the Champions Trophy match against New Zealand, he achieved a big feat. Actually, this is his 300th match in the ODI format. He has become the 7th cricketer of India to touch the figure of 300 matches in this format. 

Virat Kohli 300th ODI: The last group match between New Zealand and India in the Champions Trophy 2025 was held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This was Team India star Virat Kohli's 300th match in the ODI format. With this, he became the 7th Indian cricketer to play 300 ODI matches. Even though Virat Kohli's bat did not perform well in this match, he registered such a great record in his name. No batsman in the world has been able to reach this milestone except Virat.

Virat Kohli could not make his 300th ODI match special by playing a big innings. He was caught out on Matt Henry's ball. Virat scored 11 runs with two fours. To get him out, Glenn Phillips, one of the best fielders in the world, took a leaping catch with one hand, seeing which Virat himself could not believe his eyes.

 

He became the first batsman in the world to do so

Virat Kohli, who has captured many world records, achieved the feat of playing 300 matches in the ODI format. With this match, he also registered a great record in his name. In fact, Kohli has become the first cricketer in the world to play 300 ODIs as well as at least 100 Tests and 100 T20 International matches. Overall, so far 18 cricketers have played 300 ODIs for their respective countries, but none of them has been able to play 100-100 matches in the other two formats in international cricket.

He is the fastest player to reach 8000 runs (175 innings), 9000 runs (194 innings), 10000 runs (205 innings), 11000 runs (222 innings), 12000 runs (242 innings), 13000 runs (287 innings) and 14000 runs (299 innings) in the 50 over format for India.
