UP Weather Update- UP will experience severe heat in the coming 48 hours, heatwave alert issued in the state

By Jitendra Jangid- Friends, heat has shown its wrath in North India and has increased the trouble of the people, in such a situation, if we talk about Uttar Pradesh, then there is no hope of getting relief from it even in the next 48 hours. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for 20 districts, where the temperature is likely to remain between 43 degrees Celsius to 45 degrees Celsius.

Severe heatwave alert issued

The IMD has warned of intense heatwave conditions in 20 districts, including:

Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur (rural and urban), Hamirpur, Jalaun, Jhansi

Mathura, Mahoba, Lalitpur, Fatehpur, Banda, Chitrakoot

Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra, Chandauli

Day temperatures may touch 45 degrees Celsius, with hot, dry winds adding to the discomfort.

Agra records highest temperature

Agra was the hottest city in UP on Sunday, with the mercury touching 45 degrees Celsius.

Markets and streets wore a deserted look as people refrained from stepping out in the afternoon.

Mercury soars in Lucknow and other districts

Dusty winds and clear skies will add to the heat.

No chance of respite from rain

The IMD has forecast dry and sunny weather across the state for the next two days.

There is no forecast of rain in the next 48 hours, which will intensify the heatwave conditions.

Health advice for vulnerable groups

The elderly, children and people with underlying health conditions are advised to:

Avoid exposure to direct sunlight between 11am and 4pm.

Stay hydrated and wear light clothing.
