The Indian team has reached the semi-finals of another ICC event under the captaincy of the Indian cricket team Rohit Sharma, but some people still feel that Rohit is not fit and his captaincy is useless. Congress spokesperson Dr. Shama Mohammed has made such a statement about Rohit that has angered cricket fans and they are fiercely slamming Shama on social media.
Shama has body-shamed Rohit and called him fat and the worst captain. Shama wrote on social media, "Rohit Sharma is fat for a player. He needs to lose weight and is definitely the most ineffective captain India has ever had."
Replying to an ex-user, he further wrote, "What is so world-class in him compared to his former players like Ganguly, Tendulkar, Dravid, Dhoni, Kohli, Kapil Dev, Shastri and the rest. He is a mediocre captain as well as a mediocre player who had the privilege of being the captain of India."
This comment did not go down well with former Congress leader Radhika Khera, who is currently a part of the BJP. Taking to social media, she criticised her former party and accused the Congress of insulting athletes. She wrote, "This is the same Congress that humiliated athletes for decades, did not give them recognition and now dares to mock a cricket legend? A party that thrives on nepotism is preaching to a self-made champion?"
Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, Khera said, "Rohit Sharma led India to a World Cup win while Rahul Gandhi cannot even lead his own party without descending into chaos."
