By Jitendra Jangid- Friends, Rajasthan is facing heavy heat at this time, hot winds coming from the west have pushed the temperature of the state 1-2 degrees above normal, making the daily life of the residents difficult. On Tuesday, temperatures were recorded above 45 degrees Celsius in many cities, let's know about the condition of temperature-
Sriganganagar recorded the highest temperature in the state at 47.4 degrees Celsius, while Mount Abu was the coldest with 18.4 degrees Celsius.
Major cities affected:
Jaipur: 44.2 degrees Celsius
Kota: 46.3 degrees Celsius
Chittorgarh: 45.4 degrees Celsius
Bikaner: 45.3 degrees Celsius
Jodhpur: 43.0 degrees Celsius
Low humidity (10-20%) further aggravated the dry heat, increasing the trouble.
Water fogging is being done at major temples to help people cope with the extreme conditions.
Weather department warning
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for the next 72 hours, with no immediate relief expected.
Key forecasts include:
Severe heatwave conditions in Ganganagar and Hanumangarh, where temperatures may reach 47-48 degrees Celsius.
Hot winds are likely to blow at night for the next 4-5 days.
Light rain is expected in Kota and Bharatpur divisions around June 15-16, but no major relief is expected in western Rajasthan.
Precautionary measures suggested
Avoid stepping out during peak hours (11 am to 4 pm)
Stay hydrated and wear light clothing.
Authorities are urged to take necessary steps to protect vulnerable groups.
