Varun Chakravarthy made his historic performance in the last group match played against New Zealand in Dubai in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He took 5 wickets for 42 runs in 10 overs and completely baffled the Kiwi batsmen with his brilliant spin bowling. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami performed brilliantly against Bangladesh in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He took 5 wickets for 53 runs in 10 overs and did not give any chance to the Bangladeshi batsmen to survive. Shami broke the back of Bangladesh's batting by dismissing Soumya Sarkar, Mehdi Hasan Miraz, Zaker Ali, Tanjim Hasan Sakib and Taskin Ahmed. On the basis of his performance, India registered a big win.

Indian spin bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja played an important role in India's victory by bowling brilliantly against West Indies in the ICC Champions Trophy 2013. He took 5 wickets for just 36 runs in 10 overs. During this, Jadeja sent Johnson Charles, Marlon Samuels, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Sunil Narine and Ravi Rampaul to the pavilion.
