Champions Trophy: Fan arrested for waving Indian flag at Lahore stadium, video goes viral

Waving the Indian flag at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium proved costly for a young man. During the Australia-England match, security personnel misbehaved with a young man. The young man was pulled by his collar after waving the Indian flag. Later, he was arrested by the police.

Pakistan is currently organizing the Champions Trophy. The Champions Trophy matches are being held in Pakistan's three stadiums, Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. During a recent match in Lahore, a young man was seen waving the Indian flag. As soon as the security personnel noticed the young man, they reached him and seized the tricolor. Not only this, the young man was taken out of the stadium by holding his collar. Later, the police arrested him.

A video is becoming increasingly viral on social media in which a young man is waving the Indian flag in the stadium. It is being told that this video is of the match played between Australia and England at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. During this, a young man was seen waving the Indian flag. The security personnel reached the young man and grabbed his locker and lifted him from the seat. After this, he was taken away by pulling his clothes. The video of this incident is becoming quite viral on social media.
There was controversy due to the tricolour not being visible in Karachi stadium
Earlier, a video was in the news on social media in which flags of all the countries participating in the Champions Trophy were seen in the Karachi stadium but the Indian flag was not seen. A source clarified the matter and said that India has not come to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy and hence the Indian flag has not been hoisted in the stadium. Flags of the teams that have come to Pakistan have been hoisted. However, seeing the controversy growing on this issue, later the Indian tricolor was also hoisted in the Pakistan stadium along with the flags of other countries.
Pakistan out of Champions Trophy, India in semi-finals
India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh are the four teams in Group A. Both India and New Zealand have qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy after defeating Pakistan and Bangladesh in one match each, while both Pakistan and Bangladesh have been eliminated after losing two matches each in a row. Both will now play their last formal match against each other on 27 February.
