There are still 3 matches left in the knockout stage of the Champions Trophy, out of which at least one match is yet to be played in Pakistan. But before Sunday, apart from India, the other 3 teams have also reached Dubai.

Dubai. Pakistan has become the host of the Champions Trophy (ICC Champions Trophy 2025) this time. However, after India's refusal to go there, the tournament is being played on a hybrid model, where India is playing all its matches in Dubai. On Sunday, the last group match of this tournament and the Indian team is being played between India and New Zealand. Meanwhile, Australia and South Africa, who reached the semi-finals from Group B, have also reached Dubai. In Pakistan, which is the host country of the tournament, currently no team that has reached the last 4 is in the host's home. This situation has created differences of opinion among former and current players in the cricket world.
But the reason for this is clear because India has to stay in Dubai for this tournament, while the New Zealand team has reached Dubai to play its last group match. Apart from this, the reason for South Africa and Australia, who reached the last four of Group B, reaching here is because it has not yet been decided which is the first and second team among India and New Zealand who reached the semi-finals from Group A.
New Zealand will play its semi-final in Pakistan because India has to play its semi-final from this group in Dubai on Tuesday. Now it is yet to be decided whether India will be at the first position in the group or at the second position. If India wins here, then it will win the first position in its group and in this case it will face Australia, which is at the second position in Group B, here, whereas if it loses today's match, then it will have to face South Africa, which is at the first position in Group B.
Both the teams of Group B have not played in Dubai yet in this tournament. In such a situation, both the teams have reached Dubai with the view of adjusting to the conditions of Dubai. In such a situation, as soon as the picture of the semi-finals becomes completely clear, the other team playing the semi-final against New Zealand in Lahore will plan to leave for there.
However, it rarely happens in any ICC tournament that the future plans for the teams reaching the last four are not completely clear. Australia flew from Karachi to Dubai late on Friday night after confirming their place in the last four due to rain in the match against Afghanistan. South Africa defeated England by seven wickets to increase its points to five and boarded the flight to Dubai while being on top of Group B. Who among these will stay in Dubai will depend on the result of India's match against New Zealand on Sunday.
