Shahid Afridi has played 27 Test matches in his career, on the basis of which he gets pension every month from PCB. Shahid Afridi gets around 1,54,000 Pakistani rupees every month from PCB, which is equivalent to about Rs 47,000 in Indian currency.

Vinod Kambli's pension

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also gives pension to its former players. Vinod Kambli has played 17 Test matches in his career, on the basis of which he is given pension every month from BCCI. Vinod Kambli gets a pension of Rs 30,000 every month from BCCI on the basis of his Test.

Difference in pension of Shahid Afridi and Vinod Kambli

The pension that Shahid Afridi gets every month from Pakistan Cricket Board is more than Vinod Kambli's pension. Shahid Afridi gets around Rs 47,000 as pension every month, while BCCI gives Vinod Kambli Rs 30,000. Thus, Shahid Afridi's pension is Rs 17,000 more than Vinod Kambli's pension.

Rules for determining pension of cricketers in Pakistan

Pakistan Cricket Board has divided the pension amount into three categories.

Players who have played 10 or less Test matches in Pakistan are given a pension of Rs 1,42,000 Pakistani (about Rs 43,000 Indian).

Players who have played 11 to 20 Test matches in Pakistan are given a pension of Rs 1,48,000 Pakistani (about Rs 45,121 Indian).

Players who have played 21 or more Test matches in Pakistan are given a pension of Rs 1,54,000 Pakistani (about Rs 47,000 Indian).

Rules for determining pension of cricketers in India

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has also determined the pension amount based on the career of the players and the number of matches played.

Players who have played less than 25 Test matches get a pension of Rs 30,000 per month.
