Harsh Dubey Ranji Trophy: In the Ranji Trophy final being played between Vidarbha and Kerala, Vidarbha gained a crucial lead of 37 runs in the first innings on the third day. In this match, Vidarbha's young left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey created history with his brilliant bowling.
22-year-old Harsh took 3 wickets for 88 runs in the first innings. With this, he has become the bowler to take the most wickets in a season in Ranji Trophy history. He has taken 69 wickets this season. He broke the record of Bihar's Ashutosh Aman in this list, he has taken 68 wickets in Ranji Trophy 2018/19.
Captain Sachin Baby played a brilliant innings of 98 runs for Kerala, while Aditya Sarvate contributed 79 runs in 185 balls. Due to which Kerala team scored 342 runs.
Apart from Harsh, Darshan Nalkande and Parth Rekhade took 3-3 wickets for Vidarbha, while Yash Thakur took 1 wicket.
Earlier, Vidarbha scored 379 runs after being invited to bat first. In which Danish Malewar scored 153 runs and Karun Nair played a brilliant innings of 86 runs.
Has done wonders in batting
In the current Ranji Trophy season, Dubey showed his excellence with the bat as well as the ball. He scored 472 runs in 17 innings in batting, in which he hit five half-centuries. He became the fourth player in the history of the tournament to score 450 or more runs and take 50 or more wickets in a Ranji Trophy season. Before this, only Sunil Joshi (1995-96), Gurinder Singh (2018-19) and R. Sanjay Yadav (2019-20) was the only one to achieve this feat.
