Weather Update: Yellow and orange alerts for heavy rain have been issued for several districts in Rajasthan today

Monsoon is currently fully active in Rajasthan. Today, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rain, thunder, lightning, and strong winds in many districts of Rajasthan. Rainfall activities are also expected to intensify in western Rajasthan. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, the next 24 to 48 hours will be very important for Rajasthan. Meanwhile, good rain may continue in many districts until August 2nd.

Alert issued:
According to Jaipur Meteorological Centre, monsoon will remain active in most parts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Kota and Udaipur divisions for the next 5 to 6 days. During this period, heavy to very heavy rain is likely at some places in many districts of Kota and Udaipur divisions of south-eastern Rajasthan. Rainfall activities have also increased in Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions from July 30. Heavy to very heavy rain warning has been issued in the southern parts of Jodhpur division between July 31 and August 2.

Intermittent rain:
According to the weather department, there is a possibility of cloudy movement throughout the day in the capital Jaipur, intermittent light to moderate rain and heavy rain at some places. The weather department has asked people to stay away from open fields, trees and electric poles during bad weather, and to avoid unnecessary movement in waterlogged areas. IMD has issued an orange alert for Banswara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Salumber and Udaipur districts. There is a possibility of heavy rain, thunder, lightning and strong winds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in these areas. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued in several districts including Ajmer, Alwar, Baran, Beawar, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Dausa, Deeg, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Khairthal-Tijara, Kota, Kotputli-Behror, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Sirohi and Tonk.
