Dividend Stock: Tata Sons, the main holding company of the Tata Group, has made huge profits in the financial year 2026, and the company is in the mood to distribute some part of it among the investors as a dividend.
According to the company's annual financial report, it earned a profit of ₹31,961 crore this year, a 21.8% increase from ₹26,232 crore in the previous financial year. Its total revenue also increased 9.1% to ₹42,367 crore during this period, compared to ₹38,835 crore in FY25. The company is now preparing to distribute a dividend to its investors.
Preparations underway to give bumper dividend
The company's board of directors has recommended a dividend of ₹110,717 per share. Last year, the company paid a dividend of ₹64,900 per share. This represents a substantial 70% increase in the dividend compared to last year.
If approved at the upcoming annual shareholders' meeting (AGM), Tata Sons will have to pay a total dividend of ₹4,475 crore. Since Tata Sons is not a listed company, the dividend will not benefit ordinary investors, but its key trusts and promoters.
Who will benefit?
The biggest beneficiary of this dividend will be the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, which holds a 66% stake in Tata Sons. Tata Sons will pay it a hefty dividend of ₹1,252 crore. Furthermore, Noel Tata, who holds 4,060 shares of Tata Sons, will also receive a dividend of ₹45 crore.
