People had gone to Thailand for a trip, but as soon as they reached the airport, something happened that left everyone stunned
Air India Phuket Delhi Flight Nightmare: Who doesn't want to go to Phuket, the very beautiful city of Thailand. Every year, lakhs of Indians come here for a trip. Similarly, for 30 to 35 tourists, the tour of Phuket turned into a nightmare. Usually, the flight from Delhi to Phuket takes people to their destination in just five hours, but these passengers have not been able to return home from Phuket even after four days. The main reason for this is the indecisive attitude of Air India.
According to the Times of India report, a total of 142 passengers were to come from Phuket to Delhi on Air India's AI 377 flight on November 16. The plane took off at 5.50 pm local time, but the Airbus A320 (VT-EDD) returned to the airport due to technical fault. After this, the plane could not take off due to the duty timing of the pilot and crew members. The next day, the plane again took off from Phuket at 8.44 pm. Then due to technical fault, this plane returned to the airport after 3.5 hours.
Had to return to India with 142 passengers
According to Air India sources, "When the flight of November 16 was cancelled, the airline had arranged for them to stay in a hotel in Phuket. Most of the 142 people who travelled on AI 377 that day have either cancelled their tickets and made other arrangements to return to Delhi. Now about 30-35 passengers are left in Phuket, who are likely to be sent back on Wednesday." Air India sources told TOI that on Wednesday, the airline is planning to send home about 30-35 passengers still present in Phuket. If these passengers return to Delhi today, they will return home after four days.
What did the airline say?
On the other hand, a statement was also issued by Air India on this matter. It was said, "Air India regrets the inconvenience caused to the passengers due to the delay of flight AI-377! It was cancelled due to a technical problem. Our ground staff tried to minimize their inconvenience. All on-ground assistance including their hotel accommodation and food was provided. Some guests were also shifted to alternate flights. Passengers were also given the option of full refund in case of flight cancellation.
