The risk of heart disease is increasing with time. Till a few decades ago, this disease was known as a problem associated with aging, however, now younger people are also falling prey to it. The situation is such that the problem of heart attack and cardiac arrest is being diagnosed even in children below 10 years of age. World Heart Day is celebrated every year on 29 September to alert people about the increasing global risks of heart disease and to make them aware of prevention methods.

Cardiologists say that due to disturbances in lifestyle and diet, the risk of these diseases has increased significantly. Researchers said that including some things in your daily diet can help reduce the risks that cause heart disease.

Avocado reduces cholesterol
Avocado is one of the very beneficial fruits for heart health, it is an excellent source of monounsaturated fat, which helps you in reducing the risk of heart disease by reducing cholesterol levels. Eating at least two servings of avocado each week reduces the risk of heart disease by 16% and the risk of coronary heart disease by 21%.

The amount of fiber present in avocado also makes it very beneficial for digestion.

Green leafy vegetables and greens are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which our body needs regularly. Research shows that walnuts may reduce bad cholesterol, a major risk factor for heart disease.

Dark chocolate

Studies have found that consuming chocolate in moderation may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
