Crores of farmers across the country are taking advantage of the ambitious scheme of the Government of India, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this ambitious scheme, the Government of India is providing financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to poor farmers. This financial assistance of Rs 6 thousand is released every year through three installments. Under each installment, an amount of two thousand rupees is transferred to the accounts of the farmers. Till now a total of 15 installments have been released into the accounts of farmers. Last year in November, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, the Government of India released the 15th installment in the accounts of farmers. After receiving the 15th installment, crores of farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 16th installment. If media reports are to be believed, the Government of India may release the 16th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in February or March. However, the Government of India has not made any official announcement regarding this.
