According to the belief of Sanatan Dharma, the goddess who gives enthusiasm, courage, prosperity, and happiness to man in life has been called Maa Lakshmi. She is considered the goddess of wealth, glory, wealth, fame and fame. Maa Lakshmi fulfills the wishes of her devotees in many forms. In Puranas, there is a description of 8 forms of Maa Lakshmi, which are called Ashta Lakshmi. These eight forms of Goddess Lakshmi remove the sorrows of the devotees according to their name and form and provide happiness and prosperity.
1- Adi Lakshmi
She is also called Mool Lakshmi, Mahalakshmi. According to Shrimad Bhagwat Purana, Adi Lakshmi created the universe. Tridev and Mahakali, Lakshmi and Mahasaraswati appeared from him. She married Lord Vishnu for the upkeep and running of this world. By worshiping them, man gets all the happiness in life.
2- Dharya Lakshmi
The second form of Maa Lakshmi is also called Veer Lakshmi. Removes obstacles in meeting physical and spiritual needs. It saves from premature death. She is also considered as the form of Maa Katyayani, who killed Mahishasura. Dharya Lakshmi gives victory in war and protects the heroes.
3- Santan Lakshmi
Santan Lakshmi is also known as Skandamata. She has four hands and is sitting with Kumar Skanda in her lap as a child. It is believed that Santan Lakshmi protects the devotees in the form of her children. By his grace, a person gets the happiness of a child.
4- Vidya Lakshmi
Vidya Lakshmi is the fourth form of Mother's Ashta Lakshmi. They provide knowledge, arts, and skills. Her form is like that of Brahmacharini Devi. Through his practice, one gets success in the field of education. Vidya Lakshmi brings out the potential and talent in a person.
5-Dhanya Lakshmi
This form of Lakshmi is the symbol of the miracles of nature. It teaches equality as nature is the same for all. They reside in the world in the form of grains i.e. food or grains. Dhanya Lakshmi is considered to be a form of Maa Annapurna. One should never disrespect grains or food to please them.
6- Gaj Lakshmi
Gaj Lakshmi is seated on a lotus seat on top of an elephant. Maa Gaja Lakshmi is worshiped as the goddess of agriculture and fertility. Worshiping them gives birth to a child. Because of providing prosperity to the king, she is also called Raj Lakshmi.
7- Vijay Lakshmi
This form of Mata Lakshmi is also known as Jai Lakshmi or Vijay Lakshmi. By worshiping this form of mother, devotees get victory in every field of life. Jai Lakshmi Maa bestows fame, fame, and respect. Vijay Lakshmi gives victory in every difficulty and gives fearlessness.
8-Dhan Lakshmi
When Lord Venkatesh (Vishnu) took a loan from Kubera, Lakshmi took this form to get rid of the debt. This form of the mother is worshiped for debt relief. Dhan Lakshmi not only gives money, gold and wealth but also gives willpower, courage, determination and enthusiasm.
