Khalistani terrorist Mangat Singh, who was absconding for 30 years, arrested by a joint team of ATS and Ghaziabad Police

Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested Khalistani terrorist Mangat Singh alias Manga, who was absconding for 30 years. A reward of Rs 25,000 was declared on him. Originally a resident of Majhita in Amritsar (Punjab), Mangat Singh's brother Sangat Singh was the chief of the banned organization Khalistan Commando Force (KCF). The government had placed a reward of Rs 25,000 on this member of the Khalistan Commando Force.

Mangat Singh was also an active member of KCF

 

Originally a resident of Majhita in Amritsar (Punjab), Mangat Singh's brother Sangat Singh was the chief of the banned organization Khalistan Commando Force (KCF). Sangat Singh was killed by the Punjab Police in a police encounter in Vyas district in 1990. Mangat Singh was also an active member of KCF.

 

Ghaziabad police arrested Mangat Singh on March 11, 1993. Weapons were also recovered from him. A case was registered against him in Sahibabad police station under murderous attack and TADA.

 

He absconded after being released on bail in 1995

 

Accused Mangat Singh absconded after being released on bail on August 16, 1995. He was being searched since then. Cases were registered against him in Ghaziabad under various sections including robbery and extortion.

 

The Ghaziabad court had issued an arrest warrant against him on December 12, 2024. The court had also issued a warrant against Mangat Singh in the second case on April 8, 2025. The Ghaziabad police had announced a reward of Rs 25,000 on him.

 

Mangat Singh lived in Vivekanagar, Ghaziabad

A joint team of Noida unit of ATS and Ghaziabad police has succeeded in arresting him. Mangat Singh lived in Vivekanagar, Ghaziabad. After getting bail, he fled to Punjab. He was caught from Timmowal village in Amritsar. He is being questioned.
