He missed most of the opening matches for Mumbai Indians, about which a report later revealed that he had gone to Belgium for treatment. Jofra Archer played his last match in IPL 2023 for Mumbai Indians against Chennai Super Kings on 6 May. This match was played at Chepauk, in which Archer remained wicketless. By the way, in the 5 matches played this season, his bowling never came close to his ability. In the 5 matches he played in the 16th season, he could only take 2 wickets.
