His constable sister-in-law, who accused the IPL cricketer of rape, created a ruckus at the Shivkuti police station on Friday. Accused the investigator of his police station of playing games in the case. Said that the police are not taking action intentionally and are trying to save the brother-in-law and husband accused of rape and harassment.

However, the Shivkuti police termed the allegations as baseless. The victim woman constable is originally from Varanasi and is currently posted at Shivkuti police station. She told that in 2018 she was married to Diwan Imran Khan alias Ashok in Varanasi as per the customs of Buddhism.

He is a resident of Delhi and is posted in Police Department in Sambhal. Imran had talked about adopting Buddhism only to marry her. It is alleged that Imran was already married, but he and his family hid this fact. After a few days, she was harassed for dowry.

Fed up with the harassment, she went to her maternal home. But in 2019, the husband came and took her with him after persuading her. There was a program at her in-law's house on July 1, 2019, and during this time brother-in-law Mohsin Khan raped her. It is alleged that on telling this, the husband, on the contrary, abused and threatened her.
The victim alleges that her in-laws used to discuss getting her three-year-old son circumcised. During this, he was also pressurized to change his religion. On refusing, the husband told that the talk of accepting Buddhism was just a hoax. After this, she started living in Shivkuti with her son.

During this, the husband came and raped her unnaturally. Despite complaining several times, she was not heard in her police station, on which she appealed to the police officers, then in February 2023, a case was registered against her husband, brother-in-law, and in-laws for rape and other sections.

The victim alleges that even after three months, the police did not take any action in the matter and now the current investigator, Chandrabhanu Yadav, has removed the sections of rape from the case. While she has also told the court that she was raped. Due to a lack of action, the victim created a ruckus at Shivkuti police station on Friday evening.

The policemen were accused of colluding with the accused. On the other hand, Shivkuti police station in-charge Manish Kumar Tripathi says that the investigation of the case is still going on. Whatever allegations the lady constable is making are baseless.
