Indian Premier League 2023 New Rule: After a few hours from now, the wait for the fans regarding IPL 2023 is coming to an end. The first match of the Indian Premier League 2023 will be played today (31 March). This match will be between Chennai Super Kings and defending champion Gujarat Titans. The first match of the 16th season between the two teams will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The 16th season of the Indian Premier League is going to be special out here. To make IPL more exciting, five new rules have been included in it, in which the rule of slow over rate is also applicable. If a team is unable to throw an over in the stipulated time, then it will be punished.

Overs to be bowled in 90 minutes
During IPL matches, the bowling team will have to bowl all 20 overs in 90 minutes. If the bowling team is unable to do so, then it will have to face the punishment. In T20 international match, all the overs will be bowled after the cut time, during this only four players of the fielding team will remain on the boundary. By the way, in normal conditions, after the powerplay, 5 players are kept on the boundary.

This rule can prove to be a headache for the captain of the fielding team. In such a situation, the captain will expect all his bowlers to complete the overs in the stipulated time.
