Lucknow Super Giants have suffered a major setback ahead of their match against Chennai Super Kings. According to the report of the news agency PTI, KL Rahul will no longer be seen playing this season. Rahul had strained his leg muscles while fielding in the last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. After this, he was picked up and taken out of the ground.

It is being told that it is a hamstring injury and now Rahul is out of the tournament. This is a big blow for Lucknow. Apart from this, other team members and fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat have also been ruled out of IPL due to injury. Unadkat has suffered a shoulder injury and according to media reports his condition is critical. Unadkat got hurt in the practice session. Both of them are in danger of being out of the final of the World Test Championship.

Difficult to play even in the World Test Championship final
It is believed that the BCCI's sports science and medical team will find it difficult to prepare senior batsman Rahul for the World Test Championship (WTC) final to be held in London from June 7 to 11. A BCCI source told the news agency – KL is currently with the team in Lucknow, but he will leave the camp on Thursday after the match against CSK on Wednesday. He will be scanned at a medical facility in Mumbai under the supervision of the BCCI. Along with Rahul, the BCCI will also look into Jaydev's case.

The scan will be done after the swelling is cured
The source also confirmed that no scans have been done on Rahul so far. He said- When someone gets such an injury, there is a lot of pain and swelling in and around that place. It takes about 24 to 48 hours for the swelling to settle down and only then can you have the scan. Since Rahul is an important member of the Test team, it is important that he does not participate in the IPL further.

Unadkat injured his shoulder
The source said- Once the seriousness of the injury is known from the scan, then the BCCI medical team will decide on the further course of action. Apart from this, in Unadkat's case also, things are not looking very good at the moment. The source said- It is a good thing that Jaydev Unadkat does not have any dislocation, but his shoulder is also not in good condition. As far as this season is concerned, he cannot play IPL anymore. Also, we cannot say whether he will be fit in time for the WTC final. Unadkat was sitting with a left shoulder injury during the practice session.

Rahul was hurt during fielding
At the same time, Rahul was hurt during fielding in the match against Bangalore. In the second over of the match, Rahul was injured in his right thigh while running toward the boundary on the cover drive of Faf Duplessis off Marcus Stoinis. He was seen in pain while running and fell on the ground near the boundary. He lay down on the ground and was seen moaning in pain. After this, the physio was called to the field. He also sprinkled painkiller spray, but it did not work. He caught them and took them out of the ground.
