Large parts of northern, eastern, and central India are expected to witness intense rainfall and gusty winds on August 2, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued fresh weather alerts for several states. According to the latest forecast, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds is likely to affect multiple regions during the day, with wind speeds expected to reach up to 85 kmph in some locations.
The weather system is expected to impact states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious, while farmers have been urged to take preventive measures to protect standing crops from possible damage.
Low-Pressure System Driving Widespread Rainfall
