Hormonal changes in women after 45: After a certain age, many changes start taking place in the body. Especially, these changes are natural in women. As women grow older, many changes start taking place in the body gradually. One of these major and effective changes is hormonal imbalance. By the age of 45, most women start feeling that something different is happening in their bodies. But these changes happen so quietly that many times it is not understood what the real reason behind it.
Estrogen and progesterone are the two main hormones found in women. They perform many important functions in the body, especially those related to the reproductive system and menstruation. At around the age of 40 to 45, these hormones change and the reproductive capacity of the body decreases and periods stop, which is called the menopause phase. Menopause is the time when women's periods start to stop or stop completely. But its effect is not limited to periods only. This fluctuation of hormones affects the entire body, from the brain to the bones.
Symptoms of Hormonal Disbalance
Dr Manju Rawat of the Gynecology Department at Delhi's GTB Hospital says that the symptoms seen at this age are somehow connected to one reason and that is the decrease in female hormones like estrogen and progesterone in the body. Whenever there is hormonal imbalance in the body, the body starts receiving many signals like lack of sleep, getting tired quickly, sweating, mood swings, irritability or body pain. All these signals are not due to aging but the reason behind them is the imbalance of hormones. For example, some women notice that hair has started falling, weight is increasing without eating or drinking anything or the skin has started looking loose and dry.
Are these changes dangerous?
Now the question arises whether these changes are dangerous? Is there any treatment for it? Or do we just have to endure it? According to doctors, the most important thing to deal with menopause and hormonal changes is lifestyle management.
