ICC T20I Rankings Latest Update: The latest ICC rankings have seen a major change. Sanju Samson, who was named Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup, has made a significant jump.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Following the T20 World Cup 2026, the International Cricket Council released the latest T20 rankings, in which Sanju Samson has made a significant jump. Ishan Kishan has also benefited. However, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma have suffered losses in the rankings. So let's find out who is ranked after the latest update.

Sanju Samson got a big advantage 

Sanju Samson, who was named Player of the Tournament in the T20 World Cup, has moved up 18 places to 22nd in the rankings. His rating is 637. It's worth noting that Sanju was the third-highest run-scorer in the tournament. In five innings across five matches, he scored 321 runs at an average of 80.25 and a strike rate of 199.38, including three half-centuries.

Ishan Kishan benefits, Abhishek on top 

Ishan Kishan has moved up two places to second in the rankings, with a rating of 871. He was the fourth-highest run-scorer in the T20 World Cup. Batting in nine innings across nine matches, he scored 317 runs at an average of 35.22 and a strike rate of 193.29, including three half-centuries. Indian opener Abhishek Sharma remains at the top. 

Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma suffered losses 

Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav has dropped two places in the rankings. He has now slipped to 9th place, with a rating of 722. In the T20 World Cup, Surya scored 242 runs in 9 innings across 9 matches, at an average of 30.25 and a strike rate of 136.72, including 1 half-century.

Ranking top-5 batsmen 

Looking at the top five batsmen in the rankings, Abhishek Sharma is at number one and Ishan Kishan is at number two. Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan is at number three with a rating of 848. The Pakistani batsman has dropped one spot. England's Phil Salt, who has also dropped one spot, is at number four with a rating of 792. Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka is at number five with a rating of 766.
