Unprotected sexual contact increases the risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). These infections can affect anyone, regardless of age or gender.

Diseases such as gonorrhea, syphilis, and chlamydia are caused by bacteria and are usually spread through sexual contact.

Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

These viral infections can last a lifetime and, in some cases, like HIV, can be life-threatening.

Diseases such as trichomoniasis caused by parasites can also be spread through unprotected sex. Symptoms may not always be obvious, so it's important to get tested regularly.

Unsafe physical relations can cause serious health complications, which not only affect reproductive health but also vital organs like heart, brain and eyes.
