Health Tips - Learn about these symptoms when you have lung cancer.

In recent years, cancer has emerged as a global disease, claiming millions of lives each year. Lung cancer is the most common cancer, often occurring silently. In its early stages, symptoms may be mild or mistaken for common breathing problems. However, these early symptoms should be known and not ignored:

1. Persistent cough

If a cough lasts for more than three weeks, or if the intensity or sound of a long-standing cough suddenly changes, this could be an early warning sign.

2. Difficulty breathing

Difficulty breathing, fatigue, or feeling extremely heavy while climbing stairs could be a sign of a blockage or tumor in the lungs.

3. Coughing up bloody or rust-colored mucus

Even a small amount of blood in your cough should never be ignored. This is considered a serious symptom and requires immediate medical attention.

4. Unexplained Weight Loss

Sudden weight loss without any changes in diet or lifestyle could be a sign of a serious underlying condition, such as lung cancer.

5. Chest, Back, or Shoulder Pain

Pain that worsens with deep breathing, coughing, or laughing may be due to pressure exerted by a growing lung tumor.

6. Hoarseness

A persistent hoarse voice or a sudden change in voice quality could be a sign of a tumor affecting the vocal cords.
