Does your phone battery run out frequently? These 5 habits are reducing battery life

Smartphones have become such a part of our lives that even a few hours of battery life can cause anxiety. Even after charging our phone to 100% in the morning, if the battery starts to drop rapidly by afternoon, we often assume the phone or battery is faulty.

But sometimes the problem lies not with the phone itself, but in our daily usage habits. Some common mistakes can impact battery life in the long run.

It is not necessary to charge it to 100% every time.

Many people wait until their phone's battery is drained and then charge it to 100 percent. However, modern smartphone batteries aren't designed for this type of use.

Repeatedly draining the battery to a very low level and then fully charging it can put additional strain on the battery. In many cases, it's more convenient to charge the phone intermittently as needed.

Avoid gaming while charging

If the phone is charging and heavy activities like gaming or video editing are performed for a long time, the device may heat up.

Heat is considered one of the biggest enemies of a smartphone battery. Therefore, it's best to avoid heavy processing tasks while charging, especially if the device is already heating up.

Always high brightness can also cause harm

The screen is one of the main battery drainers on a smartphone. If the brightness is always set too high, the battery can drain faster.

Using Auto-Brightness as needed or keeping the screen brightness at a normal level can help increase battery backup.

Pay attention to apps running in the background

Many times we install and forget about such apps which continuously use internet, location or other services in the background.

If your phone's battery suddenly starts draining faster than before, it may be helpful to go to Battery Settings and see which apps are using the most battery.

Some apps can be limited from background activity or location access if not needed.

It is also important to avoid fake chargers

Buying a cheap or poor quality charger can pose a risk not only to the health of the battery but also to the safety of the phone.

If possible, use a charger and a good-quality cable from the phone manufacturer or a trusted brand. Poorly equipped accessories can increase the risk of overheating or other charging problems.

Small habits can make a big difference

There's no magic trick needed to keep your smartphone battery in good shape for a long time. It's more important to avoid overheating, charge it as needed, monitor unnecessary background activity, and use reliable charging accessories.
