Gujarat Titans New Owner IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans franchise has got a new owner even before the start of IPL 2025. Ahmedabad-based Torrent Group has bought 67 percent stake in GT franchise. The team was earlier owned by Irelia Company Private Limited, which is managed by CVC Capital Partners. Earlier, 100 percent stake of Gujarat team was with Irelia Company. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has also approved the transaction of money.
Torrent Group issued an official statement on the purchase of the team and said, "All the conditions have been accepted and we have completed the process of acquiring the team." Torrent Group now has 67 percent stake in the team, while 33 percent share will still remain with the Ireli company. Let us remind you that Torrent Group had informed about signing the deal on 12 February and the entire process has been finalized before the start of IPL 2025.
Gujarat Titans was founded in the year 2022 and in the very first season, this team won the IPL 2022 title under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. At the same time, the next year i.e. in IPL 2023, this team was also the runner-up. Currently, the captain of this team is Shubman Gill and Ashish Nehra is the head coach of the team. Gujarat's home ground is Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans, once IPL champions, will play their first match with Punjab Kings on March 25. After that the team has to play its second match against Mumbai Indians on March 29.
