The police department issued a letter stating that social worker Venkatesh has filed a complaint against Virat Kohli. It will be investigated under the case already registered at Cubbon Park Police Station under 123/2025.

On Wednesday (May 04, 2025), the celebration of Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) IPL victory in Bengaluru turned into a major accident. During the team's victory parade, the crowd suddenly went out of control and a stampede broke out. 11 people died in this incident, while 33 people were injured. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the condition of the injured is now out of danger and they are undergoing treatment. 

RCB announced financial help

The RCB management announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of those killed in the accident.
