Drinking tea with more tea leaves can increase blood pressure because tea contains a high amount of caffeine. Patients with high blood pressure should also avoid drinking tea because of milk and sugar.
Gas problem
Drinking tea causes gas problem. Gas formation in the stomach affects the blood vessels due to which the heart has to exert more pressure to pump blood which can cause high blood pressure.
Which tea should you drink
Patients suffering from high blood pressure should consume green tea. The antioxidants and catechins present in green tea work to open blood vessels which improves blood circulation.
Herbal Tea
Herbal teas like chamomile tea and hibiscus tea are caffeine free which helps in reducing high blood pressure. High blood pressure patients can consume herbal tea.
