Australia Breast Cancer Research Report: Australian researchers have achieved a significant breakthrough in the treatment of the most common form of breast cancer, which is expected to improve the cure rate of breast cancer.

Australia News: According to the latest press release on Peter Mac's website, an international clinical trial conducted by Melbourne's Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac) has found that if breast cancer patients are given the immunotherapy drug 'nivolumab' along with chemotherapy before surgery, it can significantly improve outcomes.
Test done on 510 people
According to news agency Xinhua, 510 people took part in this test who had ER+/HER2-type breast cancer, which accounts for about 70 percent of all cases globally. These patients were given chemotherapy to shrink tumors before surgery. Researchers evaluated how adding infusions of nivolumab or placebo in the pre-surgery phase affected their response to treatment.
what was the result
The researchers found that 25 percent of patients treated with nivolumab had no signs of cancer after surgery, compared with 14 percent in the placebo group. "These patients are likely to be cured, because their tumors were removed and no cancer cells were found in breast and lymph node tissue samples collected at the same time," said Shereen Loi, medical oncologist at Peter Mac and leader of the trial.
Russia announces a major discovery in the cure for cancer
Recently, Russia announced a major breakthrough in cancer treatment, in which an mRNA-based vaccine has been created to treat cancer patients. This vaccine will be launched soon. However, the vaccine will reportedly be distributed free of cost to Russian citizens.
