Nowadays, children are getting badly caught in the craze of taking selfies and posting photos and videos on social media. This is not just a hobby but is taking the form of a disease.

Children are living in a virtual world along with their real world. They feel that if they do not stand out from the crowd, they will have fewer friends or people will think badly about them. This is why they are getting away from the real world. This peer pressure has increased so much that now 4-5 such cases are coming to light every day. It is important to understand this growing trend and get children out of it.

Set rules for digital usage: Set a limit on screen time for your child. You can use a timer or app for this. Create a no-screen zone in the house like bedroom, dining table etc. Gadgets should not be allowed here. Prioritize family time by keeping gadgets away during dinner or conversation.

Be an example yourself: Children learn by watching adults, so reduce your screen time too. Stay away from gadgets and play board games with children, read books, go to the park or learn a new hobby.
