Pre-Wedding Relationship Rules: Marriages are breaking these days due to social media. Let us tell you what kind of posts on your social media can break your relationship, and you will remain single.

What precautions should be taken before marriage?
Social Media Impact on Relationships: The recent spate of wedding cancellations in Indore has drawn attention. According to a November 10 report in Dainik Bhaskar, at least 150 marriages were broken in the city in the past 40 days. Surprisingly, approximately 62 percent of these cases were attributed to social media activities, highlighting its profound impact on relationships in today's digital age.
Marriage is considered an important and joyous milestone in life. Engagements, rituals, and ceremonies are accompanied by dreams of a new beginning. However, these cases in Indore demonstrate that circumstances can change drastically at the last minute, and months of preparation can be rendered futile in an instant. According to the report, a significant number of marriages were canceled after old social media posts surfaced. Disputes, particularly regarding photos, messages, or posts related to past relationships, escalated to the point of divorce. In many cases, a lack of trust between the parties was evident.
Smriti Mandhana's case too
One such high-profile incident made headlines when the wedding of Indian women's cricket team vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and Indore musician Palash Muchhal was called off at the last minute. This incident made it clear that last-minute wedding cancellations are no longer uncommon. The report also states that, in addition to social media, some marriages were also called off due to family reasons, including death or accident in the family, personal differences, and other circumstances. However, the number of such cases was lower than those related to social media.
What should be done regarding social media before marriage?
Be clear about the truth upfront.
Instead of hiding anything about past relationships, friendships, or sensitive social media posts, tell the truth upfront. Late revelations often lead to the breakdown of marriages.
Social media isn't completely clean, but understanding is essential.
Deleting every post isn't the solution. Keep things that could be misinterpreted private, and discuss important matters with your partner.
Strengthen the foundation of trust.
Before marriage, do not have unnecessary doubts about each other's phone, social media or past. If there is trust, the relationship will not break due to past things.
Don't make decisions in anger.
Don't immediately decide to break up a marriage if you see a post or message. First, understand the entire situation, then make a decision with a calm mind.
Don't try to change each other.
Everyone has a past. Learn to accept it before marriage, because relationships are built on understanding, not control.
