Known for her bold fashion and unapologetic public persona, Urfi Javed has once again stirred the internet—but this time, not for her clothes. The Bigg Boss OTT star recently visited Mumbai’s iconic Babulnath Shiva Temple, where she climbed all 108 steps on her knees in a gesture she shared as a personal act of faith.
Urfi posted a video of her temple visit on social media, showing her dressed in jeans, a top, a cap, and a scarf—carefully adjusting it as she kneeled her way up the historic temple's steps. Alongside the video, she wrote: “Climbed the Babulnath temple on my knees. The only struggle? The scarf.”
While some fans praised her dedication, others weren’t convinced. The video quickly went viral, prompting a wave of mixed reactions online.
Trolls Question Her Intentions
Many social media users accused her of staging the act for attention, questioning her religious sincerity. Comments ranged from “This isn’t devotion, this is PR” to calling her “a stain on the name of religion.” Others pointed to Urfi’s past statements about her faith—particularly her controversial comment during Bigg Boss, where she said she “hated the people of her religion”—as evidence of inconsistency.
Publicity or Personal Faith?
This isn’t the first time Urfi has made headlines by merging public spectacle with deeply personal choices. While critics see her latest act as performative, supporters argue that faith is personal and shouldn't be policed by public opinion. In the ever-blurred line between influence and intention, Urfi’s temple visit has reignited the debate on celebrity culture, religious expression, and social media judgment.
