Foldable iPhone Price: Apple is currently busy preparing for its first foldable iPhone . A recent report claims that Apple has increased production of the foldable iPhone. The company has instructed its suppliers to produce approximately 10 million units of this iPhone, compared to the previous plan of 7-8 million units. Regarding the price, the same report states that this will be the company's most expensive iPhone and could cost more than the top variant of the iPhone 18 Pro Max.
When will the foldable iPhone be launched?
The first foldable iPhone will be launched as the iPhone Ultra . The company has resolved production issues and is now stabilizing production. It will be launched on September 8-9. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will also be launched alongside it. Its features include a 7.8-inch main OLED display and a 5.5-inch cover screen. It will be powered by the A20 Pro chipset and have a TouchID sensor integrated into the power button. Regarding the camera setup, it will feature a single camera on each screen on the front and a 48MP dual camera setup on the rear. Regarding the battery, speculation is rife that Apple may offer its highest-capacity battery pack to date.
How much could the price be?
There were already speculations about the iPhone Ultra's price, which was expected to be quite expensive. Now, leaks have revealed that its starting price could be $2,500 (approximately Rs. 2.40 lakhs). The top-end variant could cost $3,000 (approximately Rs. 2.86 lakhs). This makes it even more expensive than the top variant of the iPhone 18 Pro Max. In India, iPhones typically cost more than in the US. Consequently, it's estimated that the top variant could cost over Rs. 300,000 in India.
How could Apple be hit?
Despite this price, Apple is not offering several features like Face ID and a telephoto sensor in the camera setup. This could make it difficult for the company to justify this price point. Customers expect more features at this price.
