Bangladeshi cricket star Tamim Iqbal suffered a heart attack during a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match on Monday. The 36-year-old former captain was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he underwent angioplasty to clear a blockage in his artery.

- Tamim was leading Mohammedan Sporting Club against Shinepukur Cricket Club in a 50-over match.
- He felt severe chest pain after just one over and had to leave the field.
- A helicopter evacuation was attempted but was unsuccessful.
