Worcestershire fast bowler Josh Tongue has been included in England's squad for the second Test of the Ashes series against Australia. Tong was replaced after veteran spinner Moeen Ali injured his finger. This was the only change in the hosts' side after their two-wicket defeat in the first Test at Edgbaston.

Tang made his debut against Ireland earlier this month and took five wickets for 66 runs in the second innings. England had managed to win by ten wickets. The tongue was preferred over Mark Wood, Chris Foakes, and Matthew Potts. Moeel Ali had injured his finger in the Edgbaston Test. England can take the services of part-time spinner Joe Root.

Australia's fast bowlers have to do better
Meanwhile, Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne said that his fast bowlers did not perform top-class against England in the opening match of the Ashes series. He said that Australia will have to improve a lot in this department in the upcoming matches. Australia beat England by two wickets in the first Test to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

Many players of the Australian team performed impressively but Labushen is expecting improvement from the fast bowlers. He said, “I think some players have also performed exceptionally well, which Usman (Khwaja) is included. Nathan Lyon also bowled brilliantly.
