The accused in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case have confessed to the crime. ACP Crime Branch Poonam Chand said that Vishal was the first to attack Raja. Sonam was present at the time of the murder and was watching her husband die.
A big update has come in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case. Indore Crime Branch ACP Poonam Chand Yadav said that all four accused have confessed to the murder. They also told that they went to Shillong from Indore via Guwahati. They have also given important information about Raj Kushwaha's involvement in the conspiracy. According to the officer, the accused told the police that when they were killing Raja, 'Sonam was sitting there and watching her husband die'.
ACP Poonam Chand told Ravish Pal Singh of India Today, “The first attack on Raja was done by Vishal alias Vicky Thakur. During interrogation, the accused told that they first went to Guwahati by train from Indore. From there they reached Shillong. Since there is no direct train from Indore to Shillong, they reached Meghalaya by changing many trains. During this time, Raj Kushwaha stayed in Indore, but he gave 40 to 50 thousand rupees to the three accused Vishal, Akash and Anand for expenses in Meghalaya.”
According to Poonam Chand, “The accused told that Sonam was present when Raja Raghuvanshi was being killed. She was watching her husband die. They killed Raja and threw him into a deep ditch. The ACP said that only the Meghalaya Police will be able to tell whether Sonam came to Indore after the murder or not. They do not have any information about this right now.”
Poonam Chand Yadav further said that the clothes that accused Vishal was wearing at the time of the murder have been recovered from his house. A forensic investigation will be conducted on this.
Let us tell you that Raja Raghuvanshi, a resident of Indore, went to Shillong in Meghalaya for honeymoon with his wife Sonam after marriage. He mysteriously disappeared from there. Later on June 2, his body was recovered from a ditch. Police have arrested 5 accused of Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, Raj, Anand, Vishal, Akash and Sonam. Sonam was taken into custody from Ghazipur in UP on Monday, June 9.
