Announcing the platform, Jio Chairman Akash Ambani said that it was created to nurture a new generation of content technologists who want to combine storytelling with AI to produce premium content.
New Platform for AI Agents - Reliance also introduced the new Jio Teleframe. This is a voice-first agentic AI system that will serve as a hub for controlling agents used for entertainment, shopping, and connected home devices. It is accessible in every Indian language.
AI-Powered Call Agent - Akash Ambani also announced an AI-powered call agent. This is a native voice assistant that will be integrated into the Jio network. It doesn't require an app or a dedicated phone number and will work in all Indian languages. With user permission, it can join calls and transcribe them in real time. It can recognize up to 10 speakers in conference calls and share meeting notes with other participants. Other features include cab booking, food ordering, table reservations, and meeting scheduling while attending calls. This feature is expected to be rolled out by the end of this year.
