'PM Modi is a warrior, he will bring peace to Jammu and Kashmir', said Rajinikanth calling the Pahalgam attack 'barbaric'

WAVES 2025: Superstar Rajinikanth has strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack. He has also expressed his full faith in Prime Minister Modi and said that the PM will bring peace to Jammu and Kashmir.

WAVES Summit 2025: 26 innocent people lost their lives and many were injured in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. The whole country is angry with this heartbreaking incident. Everyone, whether common or special, is strongly condemning this attack. Amidst all this, many stars from Bollywood to Tollywood have also expressed anger over the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Now superstar Rajinikanth on Thursday termed the Pahalgam terrorist attack as "barbaric and ruthless" and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a warrior who will bring peace to Jammu and Kashmir. 

Rajinikanth said I have full faith in PM Modi

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 'Waves' summit, the actor said that many people had told him that the government may postpone the four-day event due to "unnecessary criticism" as it focuses on entertainment. He said, "I have faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and I was confident that this event will definitely happen."

Top stars from Hindi and South Indian films, along with industry leaders and political personalities will attend the 'World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit' (WAVES). 

Rajinikanth calls PM Modi a warrior

Rajinikanth said, "Prime Minister Modi is a warrior, he will face any challenge. He has proved this and we have been seeing this for the last decade." The 74-year-old actor said that the Prime Minister will handle the situation in Kashmir "bravely and gracefully". Rajinikanth said, "(He) will bring peace to Kashmir and pride to our country. I am very happy to be here and it is a privilege for me to be a part of the 'Waves' moment. My heartiest congratulations to the central government."

What is the objective of the Waves Summit?

The objective of the Waves Summit is to open up the US$50 billion market to everyone by 2029 and expand India's presence in the global entertainment economy. This summit is taking place soon after the terrorist attack in the upper reaches of Pahalgam in Kashmir . 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed in the attack.
