PF Interest: Important news for employees! PF interest not credited to your account? Check in 2 minutes; read the process

The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has begun the process of crediting interest to PF accounts for the financial year 2025-26. Many members are receiving messages on their mobile phones stating that the interest has been credited. However, some members have not yet received interest or have not received any messages. Such members need not panic. Grievances can be resolved online with the EPFO.

If interest hasn't been credited to your PF account, first visit the EPFO's official grievance redressal portal. There, you can register a complaint by clicking on the Register Grievance option. You'll then see options for PF Member, EPF Pensioner, Employer, and others. Select the appropriate option and fill in the required information. Submit the application, clearly stating the reason for your complaint. Once the complaint is filed, its status can be tracked online.

If a timely resolution is not received even after filing a complaint online, you can seek assistance from the EPFO helpline. You can contact the helpline number 19970 or 1800-118-005. You can also file a written complaint by visiting the relevant regional EPFO office. The facility to file a complaint is also available through the central government's PG portal. Complaints made through this channel are regularly reviewed by the facilitation department and appropriate action is taken.

Timely interest crediting to your EPF account is crucial for every member. Therefore, it's important to periodically check whether the interest has been credited. If there are any issues, immediately file a complaint using the official portal or helpline. This can help resolve your issues.
