Pakistani Singer Ali Zafar Shocked After Bomb Blast Near His Home, Urges Global Community to Intervene

After India launched Operation Sindoor on 7 May in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack, tensions have sharply escalated across the region. The Indian armed forces targeted and destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), sparking panic and unrest in Pakistan. Among those shaken by the aftermath is Pakistani singer and actor Ali Zafar, who revealed that a bomb exploded near his residence.

Ali Zafar took to social media platform X on 8 May, sharing his concern and making an emotional plea for peace. "We heard the sound of bomb blasts from our house," he wrote. “To those beating the drums of war and glorifying violence—do you truly understand what war between two nuclear-armed nations means? This isn’t a film. War brings destruction. It’s the innocent—children, families—who suffer the most.”

The singer continued with a heartfelt appeal:
“Every life matters. Every nation deserves security. The international community must intervene now to end this madness. Dialogue is the only solution—talk, listen, resolve. Billions of lives in this region and around the world depend on it.”

Ali Zafar’s post struck a chord with many online, sparking debate and concern.

He's not the only one from Pakistan’s entertainment industry reacting strongly to the situation. Several Pakistani celebrities, including Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Hania Aamir, Mawra Hussain, Fahad Mustafa, Farhan Saeed, and Kubra Khan, have expressed distress and opposition to the growing conflict, emphasizing the need for peace and diplomacy over warfare.
