Due to this strained relationship, the husband shot his wife, causing her death. This incident caused a sensation in the entire village. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot, where the woman's family created a ruckus. The police pacified them and took the woman's body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Investigation into the matter has been started.
The husband murdered his wife and fled from the scene
The incident took place on Friday night on the road from Murshadpur to Jaganpur in Dankaur police station area. The husband shot his wife Nidhi dead and then brought her home. To make the murder look like a suicide, he hung Nidhi's body on a noose. Initial investigation by the police has revealed that there was a long-standing rift between the couple. 31-year-old Nidhi was married four years ago to Deepak Bhadana, who was a resident of Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi. Deepak's family has been living in Jaganpur village for the last 13 years, while he is originally from Dhanpura in Meerut.
Attempt to portray incident as suicide
The police have detained Nidhi's brother-in-law and mother-in-law in this case. The police examined the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the crime scene, in which husband Deepak was seen leaving. It is feared that the accused husband has fled across the border to Haryana after committing the murder. However, the police have assured that the accused will be arrested soon.

Additional DCP Greater Noida Ashok Kumar said that in this case, the deceased's father, Choudhary Harbir Singh, a resident of Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi, has filed a case of dowry murder against his son-in-law Deepak Bhadana. The report states that the in-laws used to harass his daughter Nidhi for dowry, and husband Deepak used to torture and beat her.
