A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, where a father, angry at the birth of his fourth daughter, killed his newborn baby girl by throwing her on the ground. This brutal incident took place in a village on Sunday, when 30-year-old Bablu Diwakar was drunk.
After the arrest, the accused father confessed his crime to the police
Giving this information in a press conference on Friday, Etawah SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma said that Bablu Diwakar was expecting a son as his last child, but when his wife gave birth to a daughter for the fourth time, he lost his temper. He had two daughters from his first marriage, who had died. Even after the second marriage, the first child was a daughter and last month his fourth daughter was born.
In a drunken state, he snatched the child from his wife's lap
According to the police, last Sunday, during an argument with his parents, Bablu Diwakar, in an inebriated state, snatched the newborn baby girl from his wife's lap and threw her on the ground. Due to which the baby got seriously injured. The baby was taken to the hospital in a critical condition, where she died on Wednesday.
The woman lodged an FIR against her accused husband
After this incident, Bablu's wife Deepu Diwakar lodged a complaint with the police, on the basis of which an FIR was registered against Bablu under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). On Thursday, Bablu Diwakar was arrested by the local police. During interrogation, Bablu admitted that he wanted a son, but he was disturbed since the fourth daughter was born. That day, in a fit of anger, he snatched his newborn baby girl from his wife's lap and threw her on the ground.
