What is Har Ghar Bijli Yojana?

Har Ghar Bijli Yojana was started in the year 2016 by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Its main objective is to provide free electricity connection to every household in Bihar and provide electricity to households in rural and urban areas of Bihar.

If you want to apply under Bihar Har Ghar Bijli Yojana, then to apply you need a passport-size photo, a photo identity card and address proof. Apart from this, your email id and mobile number are also required.

Which documents are required for the application?

To apply for this scheme, you need a passport, gas connection card, PAN card, Aadhaar card, voter ID card, driving license, ration card, and photo identity card issued by any government agency.

How to apply for this scheme?

1) To apply for this scheme, you have to visit the official website of Bihar State Power Holding Company (click on this link to go to the website) http://hargharbijli.bsphcl.co.in/

2) After this, on the homepage, you have to click on 'Consumer Facilitation Activities' and now on the page which has opened on your screen, click on the first option 'Apply for new electricity connection'.

3) After this, select either South Bihar Power Discom or North Bihar Power Discom related to the area of ​​your residence and click on it.

4) Now select your district name by entering your mobile number and then click on generates OTP.

5) Now the application form will open on your screen. Write the OTP received on your mobile at the designated place in it. After that fill in all the information like name, address, etc.

6) After this you have to upload the documents and photo related to your identity and residence proof. The maximum size of the documents should not be more than 500 kb. Then submit your form.

7) After submitting the form, a request number will appear on your screen. With the help of this, you can check the status of your Bihar Har Ghar Bijli Yojana application online.
