The Meteorological Department has issued a rain and storm alert today in 15 states of the country including Rajasthan. Along with Rajasthan, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain and strong storm in the national capital New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Assam. There is also a possibility of lightning at many places in the states of Eastern India.

The impact of monsoon activity will increase in Rajasthan. Following a decrease in rainfall over the past few days, the Meteorological Department has predicted an increase in rainfall activity in many parts of eastern Rajasthan starting today. Rain is expected today in parts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota, Ajmer, and Udaipur divisions. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall in Dholpur and Karauli.

In addition to these districts, the Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in many areas. The monsoon will remain weak in western Rajasthan for the time being. The weather is expected to remain largely dry in most parts of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions for the next four to five days. However, light to moderate rain may occur in the northern parts of Bikaner division and the Shekhawati region.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for
thunder, lightning and gusty winds with a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in the capital Jaipur as well as Alwar, Baran, Bharatpur, Bundi, Dausa, Deeg, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Khairthal-Tijara, Kota, Kotputli-Behror, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar and Tonk.
