Moringa Paratha Recipe: Drumstick or Moringa is a superfood that not only boosts your immunity but also strengthens the body from within. But often people wonder how to include it in their diet. If you are also fond of eating healthy and do not want to compromise on taste, then this recipe is for you.

 

Material

  • Wheat flour – 2 cups
  • Drumstick leaves – 1 cup (finely chopped)
  • Onion – 1/2 (finely chopped)
  • Green chillies – 1-2 (finely chopped)
  • Ginger – 1 inch (grated)
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder – 1/4 teaspoon (according to taste)
  • Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
  • Amchur powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil or Ghee – as needed
  • Salt – as per taste

Method

  • First of all, heat some oil in a pan. Add finely chopped onion and fry it till it turns light pink.
  • Now add finely chopped green chillies and grated ginger and fry for a few seconds.
  • Add chopped drumstick leaves and fry on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes or until the leaves become slightly soft.
  • Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, garam masala and dry mango powder to the roasted leaves and mix well. Roast for another 1 minute and then turn off the gas. Let the mixture cool down a little.
  • Put wheat flour and salt according to taste in a large vessel. Add the roasted drumstick mixture to the flour and mix well.
  • Add water little by little and knead a soft dough. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Now make small balls of the dough. Roll one ball a little and apply oil or ghee on it and place the other rolled ball on top of it and seal the edges properly.
  • Roll the paratha lightly in the round shape or any shape of your choice.
  • Heat a pan and put the rolled paratha on it and fry it on medium flame till it turns golden on both the sides and till it is cooked.
  • Apply oil or ghee on both sides of the paratha and fry until it becomes crispy.
  • Serve hot, unique Drumstick Parathas with raita, chutney or your favourite vegetable and enjoy this healthy and delicious dish.
