LPG Price Today: Domestic LPG gas cylinder consumers across the country have recently been hit by inflation. The central government increased the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder by ₹29, and the new rates are effective from June 7, 2026. Rising inflation has made life miserable for people. Why did the price of gas cylinders increase?
According to the government and oil companies, this increase is due to rising international costs and the increasing financial pressure on oil marketing companies. Reports indicate that despite the price increase, companies are still incurring losses on domestic LPG cylinders.
Commercial cylinders also became expensive.
The price of 19-kilogram commercial LPG cylinders has also been increased by ₹42 to ₹54, effective June 1. This could impact the costs of hotels, restaurants, and small businesses.
