This is the right way to update a 10-year-old Aadhaar card:-

Step 1
If you have not updated your Aadhaar card yet, then get it updated because, after 14 September 2024, you may have to pay a charge of Rs 50 for this

So to get your Aadhaar updated, first open the official website of UIDAI uidai.gov.in/en on your computer or laptop

Step 2
Then go to the website and click on the option 'Update Aadhaar'

Here you have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number

After this, an OTP will come on your registered mobile number, you have to log through this OTP

Step 3
After this, you have to click on the option to update the document go to the drop list below, and upload the scanned copy of the identity card and address proof here

After doing this, you have to click on the submit button after which your form will be submitted

Step 4
After the form is submitted You will get a service request number which you should keep safely. If you want to check whether your Aadhaar has been updated or not, then you need this number to check the status.
