WhatsApp is working on a very big feature, after which there will be no need of the internet to send media and files. Leaked reports have emerged regarding the new feature. After the release of this feature, photos, videos, music, and documents can also be shared offline.
WABetaInfo, which tracks the features of WhatsApp, has given information about this new feature of WhatsApp. The report claims that files shared without the internet will also be encrypted and secure. A screenshot of the new feature has also been revealed.
This upcoming feature of WhatsApp is currently being beta tested. The new feature works on Android's Nearby system. Nearby is now called Quick Share and it creates a connection via Bluetooth to share files between two nearby devices.
This means that you will not be able to send a message to a person sitting far away without the internet through this new feature of WhatsApp. To use the upcoming feature, you will also have to give WhatsApp access to your photo gallery. Apart from this, permission will also have to be given for the location.
This feature coming in WhatsApp will work much like Apple's AirDrop, ShareIT, and Google's Quick Share. In this technique, files are shared without cellular internet and Wi-Fi connection.
